Dear Ihsan, I have been very happy to get your postcard! It was such a surprise that you kept my address for ten (!!!!) years now. I wonder if you still know who I am (I suppose not). You met me and my friend Stephanie at Sultan Ahmet Tourist Center (where else...) I can't send you a picture of me now, but I will do so later. Stephanie also has a photo of you. She will scan it and send it to you pretty soon. I no longer live in Unna, where you send my postcard, but my parents still live their and my daddy called me on the phone in the same second that they received my postcard. He also remembered the story of IHSAN the BEST and CRAZIEST taxi driver of Istanbul and has also been very impressed about how safe you guard your address book. When we met each other I have been (sweet) nineteen years old and just came from school. After that I learned my profession "foreign language secretary" but I gave it up after one year of working. I needed something more related to PEOPLE (in that way we are a bit similar). Now I am studying psychology for five years now and in one year I will have finished and hopefully find a really interesting job... I would be glad to receive some news from you. Next time I will also send a photo (one ten years old and one from today...), okay? YAKINDA GORUSURUZ!!!!!

Hi ihsan! Thank you for the picture post card of beautiful Istanbul, and for the four Turkish stamps that make a picture of a white cat with one blue eye and one green eye. Congratulations on your efforts to establish yourself as the world's most famous taxi driver. You may have some competition from the taxi drivers of India, but they aren't as well organized as you are. You drove me in 1985, I think. It brought back happy memories from our short stay in Istanbul in June 1994 when we walking near Hagia Sofia and you asked us if we wanted a taxi ride and we had 3 or 4 memorable hours of sight seeing and entertainment. I have just looked at your website. The photo and journal entry of Carolyn Lee was interesting as her address is Linley Point, a very small suburb of Sydney and we live just around the corner - although we do not know her. I am about to go and find the photos taken in Istanbul - I know some great photos were taken that day. You should be in Sydney at the moment - we are needing extra cabbies with the Olympic Games starting next week.
